As a child, growing up in Manipur, she was a perfect example of an introvert and shy girl who has altered herself into a whole new person. What helped her achieve this transition was the strong focus she developed towards environmental conservation, sustainable living and fighting for equality and human rights.

She has been an active Volunteer with Delhi Greens and was previously associated with the Delhi Greens as a Project Officer (intern) and Organisational Intern and worked to promote Environment Education in schools and colleges.
