Delhi Greens partnered with the delhibird Network and the University of Delhi to organise and lead the North Delhi organisation of the Big Bird Day 2008 event. Big Bird Day 2008 took place on 24 February 2008 and witnessed good participation of citizens for counting the total diversity of bird species they could find.

The initiative was supported by the Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT of Delhi by sponsoring a coloured ad on the front page of a national daily.
