The Green Youth Fellowship (GYF) Programme was initiated in the year 2019 and is an Annual Programme of Delhi Greens.

 

The GYF Programme offers a unique opportunity for the youth to get associated with our projects and activities and play a leadership role in achieving environmental harmony and sustainable development along with their regular course or job that they may be associated with. GYF is an honorary fellowship and a maximum of 4 GYFs are selected each year through a selection process.

Minimum Eligibility:

GYF Fellows are expected to be young people with a vision and enthusiasm for working towards making a better Planet.In addition to that, the minimum eligibility for being considered for the position of a Green Youth Fellow is as follows:

  1. The applicant must have completed graduation/ undergraduate degree in any scheme from a recognized public, private or deemed university located in India. Minimum three year time period should have been spent for completing the graduation/ undergraduate degree.
  2. The applicant must have completed either her/his school education (at least Class XI and XII) from a school located in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and districts geographically contiguous with the NCT of Delhi or her/his graduation/ undergraduate degree from a University located in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and districts geographically contiguous with the NCT of Delhi.
  3. The applicant may be pursuing an educational degree, may have taken a year-off or may be gainfully employed at the time of applying for the Green Youth Fellowship. However, in all such cases the applicant must ensure that there is no conflict of interest between the applicant’s educational institution, personal goals or work places policies and the participation in this honorary fellowship.

Recommendation Letter:

All applications must be accompanied with one recommendation letter. The recommendation letter can be written by any Indian citizen other than the relative of the person for whom the recommendation is being written.

Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the prevailing situation, Green Youth Fellowship for the years 2021 and 2022 have been suspended. The next call will be made for GYF 2023 in October 2022.
