Philanthropy is the heart of the Indian way of doing things. It is also respected and replicated by Indian businesses since a very long time. Supporting individuals, initiatives and relevant causes has been an integral part of running business in the Indian sub-continent.

Multinational companies, who come to India, also learn and inculcate this philosophy in no time. It is no wonder then that India became the first country in the world to make corporate giving a Law!

A modification in The Company Act, 2013 in April 2014 makes it mandatory for every company in India having net worth of rupees five hundred crore or more, turnover of rupees one thousand crore or more or net profit of rupees five crore or more during any financial year to have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee.

Delhi Greens works with corporate houses to help realize their Corporate Social Responsibility, especially towards the environment, biodiversity, Nature and natural resources. This is done by encouraging companies to get involved in planting trees, through environmental awareness workshops and by inviting corporate support and sponsorship for green projects and environmental campaigns.
