Delhi’s green cover is shrinking even as the city grows. Every mature tree lost to construction, pollution or neglect takes years, sometimes decades, to replace. Delhi Greens believes citizens don’t have to wait for someone else to fix this. You can start today, in your own colony, park or street.
What your donation supports:
- Planting native, climate-suited saplings across Delhi and the NCR, chosen for their ability to survive the city’s heat, dust and water stress
- Aftercare, not just planting, which includes watering, fencing and monitoring saplings through their first two years, when most young trees are lost to neglect
- Community tree stewardship, training local residents and RWAs to adopt and protect trees in their own neighbourhoods
- Replacing what’s lost, prioritising areas hit hardest by tree felling for roads, Metro lines and construction
Why it matters for Delhi
Trees are among the cheapest, most effective tools Delhi has against its air pollution and rising heat. A single tree, over its lifetime, filters dust, releases oxygen, cools its surroundings and gives birds and pollinators a place to live. Multiply that by thousands, and it’s the difference between a city that’s liveable and one that isn’t.
Every contribution counts
Whether you can sponsor one sapling or a small grove, your donation directly funds a tree’s planting and survival. Contributions to Delhi Greens are tax-exempt under Section 80G.
