NE Greens Portal
The NE Greens Portal was initiated by Delhi Greens in 2010 to spread awareness about the delicate ecology of North-East India and support sustainable development across the region.
The North-East Region (NER) comprises Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim. Isolated by geography and connected to the mainland via a narrow corridor, the region has often been overlooked in national development discourse.
Environmental degradation, climate change, loss of biodiversity, water scarcity, and cultural erosion now threaten the region’s ecological balance. The NE Greens Portal was launched to highlight these concerns and promote development models that are environmentally sound and culturally sensitive.
