A Report on the Economic Valuation of Oxygen Supplying Ecosystem Service of Healthy Trees was published by Delhi Greens in August 2013. The Report was published amidst large-scale felling of trees for construction projects in the NCT of Delhi. The economic valuation of a healthy tree was requested by the Compassionate Living organisation.

The Report enumerates the benefits of a healthy tree and then uses one of these benefits, the oxygen supplying capacity, to economically quantify the ecosystem services provided by a healthy tree. The final figure, based purely on the oxygen supplying benefit, provides an insight into the importance of trees for human survival. Delhi Greens official position is that the price of a healthy tree is priceless. Rampant cutting of trees with almost negligible compensation necessitated this publication.
