Delhi Greens was instrumental in conceiving and hosting the first Eco Clubs Unite inviting participation from Eco Clubs of all colleges in Delhi. The first College-level Eco Clubs Unite was called Gaia 2009 and took place at and in collaboration with the School of Environmental Studies, University of Delhi.

• The event saw good participation of different Eco Clubs and was also joined by other NGOs and was supported by the Department of Environment (DoE), Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD).
• The event took place on 18 and 19 February 2009.
• The Eco Club Scheme of the Minister of Environment and Forest of the Government of India is managed by the DoE, GNCTD in Delhi.
• The hosting of the Eco Clubs Unite was part of the Post-DYSoC 2008 Agenda of Delhi Greens to bring together and strengthen youth and youth-based groups working on environmental issues.
